Distraction Days — The Album Leaf
Writing Inspired By: Songs
We all have distraction days; some we will learn to overcome.
The more days in a row the distractions, the longer it takes to put them behind you.
The picture above reminds me most of my distractions are in my rear-view mirror of life.
As we age, the areas of our responsibility change and so do distractions.
Events of 2019 and 2020
In early 2019, we decided that it was time to move from Northern Nevada to Northern California.
We both grew up in the Bay Area and liked the California climate very much. Maybe that is one reason so many people choose to live in California.
After announcing our moving plans, we had 3 extremely interested people before we even listed. One couple decide 2 weeks before we were to list with a realtor, they wanted it for sure; we agreed on a price and opened an escrow.
February 2020
We closed escrow in February 2020 and move to Northern California into a rental home. In June 2020 we closed escrow on our new home. The day after escrow closed, we started the remodeling process.
Yes, a remodel during the COVID-19 pandemic, we had a ton of great and safe people working with us during the process.
The remodel processed to where we could move in and then complete the remaining work. Moved in early October 2020. Completed the remodel in early December 2020.
November 2020
In late November 2020, our fur kid Misty passed from lymphoma.
She was our 15th fur kid, and I cried the most, and am now crying writing this.
