About Roger Skibowski

Hi, I’m Roger Skibowski a Writer.

In the beginning

Roger Skibowski is my pen name. I came up with this name when I was twelve years old, and wanted to be a writer, but I waited.

Some time has passed

I lot has happened between 1964 and 2019. Life events that seem to get in between what you want do and what actually happens.

“It’s Always Something.” -by Gilda Radner, on Saturday Night live.

It takes time to bend events into the shape of what you want them to look like. Some people never reach and some never get to what they dream of being. But that will not happen to me, I will become a better writer with practice.

Getting closer to the dream

In 2014 I registered the domain and again dreamed of becoming a writer, but there was always many events that took my attention and side tracked me.

I have over the years helped others build websites over the years, and more mostly recently since 2010, and just forget about me. Many a day went by where I’d say to myself maybe tomorrow, but the tomorrow would be pushed out again day after day week after week.

From Jan 2010 until the present I’ve been studying the writing craft and watching what others writers had developed for their writing platforms. I watched the processes they used for both creating their website’s designs and the writing processes they described to accomplish their dreams.

Please wait Recalculating

In the middle of 2017 I turned 65, and I started reducing and cutting back on commitments to others so I would be able to put most of my attention to my writing career.

I did it I completed my “Recalculating

I’m a Late Bloomer of the Baby Boomer Generation

It’s my theory I’m a late bloomer of the baby boomer generation, and I’m sure that there are many more out there waiting to bloom into becoming a writer.

Benefits of being a writer in out life’ is that we have accumulated a lot more stories and material to write about.

I have 25 or more years to write about the last 65 plus years of my life experiences, and offer my advice and opinions on life from my perspective for others who wish to read and learn from stories.

Always remember opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

Reminds me of the movie “The man with two brains”

“Dolores: What are those assholes doing on the porch?

Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr: Those aren’t assholes. It’s pronounced *azaleas*”

Some things take time to emerge
